This year's award ceremony was held on the 3th December in Berlin were awarded to the 8 prospective engineers of automotive engineering. From the region of Braunschweig following respondents were honored:

New research-group of the University of Technology of Braunschweig, "tubs.CITY" organises the first annual conference from the 01.07. - 03.07.2009
Recently the University of Technology of Braunschweig disposes of a new centre, tubs.CITY "Center for Informatics Technology" (http://city.tu-bs.de/index.php/en), a research-group of institutes of informatics and information systems.
From the 01.07. - 03.07.2009 the first annual conference tubs.CITY take place in the "Haus der Wissenschaft". Therefor the University of Technology of Braunschweig could win leading scientists from all over the world as lecturers about new trends in the informatics and information technology. The symposium exists of four subject fields, namely
- "Embedded Communication"
- "Synchrony and Asynchrony in Distributed Systems"
- "Traffic: Optimising the Flow of Cars and Information"
- "High-Speed Networking and Communication".
Expert conference on the subject "Electric mobility" on the 09th and 10th of June in Dudenhofen
On the 09th and 10th of June the Deutsche Gesellschaft für elektrische Straßenfahrzeuge (DGES) in the Opel Test Centre in Dudenhofen organized an expert conference on the subject "Electric mobility - current trends and developments". Beside talks, from famous sales representatives of the automotive industry and automobile research to the subject main focuses in
- Electric vehicles
- Components for electric vehicles, in particular energy storage and drivetrain
as well as
- Electric and plug-in-hybrid vehicle in power grid
to give. Beside, an open discussion forum about the realisation of the technology innovation is planned by electric vehicles for an ecologically friendly and free mobility.
For the conclusion of the conference exists the possibility to inspect different demonstration vehicles on the test centre in Dudenhofen and to test.
