The Hermann-Appel-Preis is an annual tender than 18.000 € by important scientific works. It is awarded by the IAV, Ingenieurgesellschaft Auto und Verkehr, to outstanding Master and PhD whose

This year's award ceremony was held on the 3th December in Berlin were awarded to the 8 prospective engineers of automotive engineering. From the region of Braunschweig following respondents were honored:

New research-group of the University of Technology of Braunschweig, "tubs.CITY" organises the first annual conference from the 01.07. - 03.07.2009

Recently the University of Technology of Braunschweig disposes of a new centre, tubs.CITY "Center for Informatics Technology" (http://city.tu-bs.de/index.php/en), a research-group of institutes of informatics and information systems.

From the 01.07. - 03.07.2009 the first annual conference tubs.CITY take place in the "Haus der Wissenschaft". Therefor the University of Technology of Braunschweig could win leading scientists from all over the world as lecturers about new trends in the informatics and information technology. The symposium exists of four subject fields, namely

- "Embedded Communication"
- "Synchrony and Asynchrony in Distributed Systems"
- "Traffic: Optimising the Flow of Cars and Information"
- "High-Speed Networking and Communication".

Expert conference on the subject "Electric mobility" on the 09th and 10th of June in Dudenhofen

On the 09th and 10th of June the Deutsche Gesellschaft für elektrische Straßenfahrzeuge (DGES) in the Opel Test Centre in Dudenhofen organized an expert conference on the subject "Electric mobility - current trends and developments". Beside talks, from famous sales representatives of the automotive industry and automobile research to the subject main focuses in

- Electric vehicles
- Components for electric vehicles, in particular energy storage and drivetrain
  as well as
- Electric and plug-in-hybrid vehicle in power grid

to give. Beside, an open discussion forum about the realisation of the technology innovation is planned by electric vehicles for an ecologically friendly and free mobility.

For the conclusion of the conference exists the possibility to inspect different demonstration vehicles on the test centre in Dudenhofen and to test.

eck*cellent IT SPiCE Assessors successfully Re-certificating

Automotives SPiCE is an process-tool to guarantee the process quality of software projects. Transparency, patency and aim-oriented action at all levels of a project are only some points which must prove successfully certificated enterprises for her customer projects.

Vision electric mobility in 2050 - electrically driving without compromises

Electric driving without reach restriction - a solution attempt for this vision introduces the engineering company IAV, partner of the CARLECTRA GmbH, with the concept of the wireless power transmission on the Hannover exhibition 2009. After the transformer-principle electric energy will transfer by induction without contact to the vehicle. The supply of the vehicle as well as the charging of the battery are possible with it during the driving as well as in the stand without plug. Assuming the necessary infrastructure, a stationary charging is conceivable, for example, in the private garage, in multi-storey car parks or in front of traffic lights, while the dynamic charge on highways would solve the reach problems.

This advanced and highly technological form of an electric mobility without compromises presents the IAV within the scope of the special show "to vision in 2050 - ideas for the industry of next-generation" on the Hannover exhibition, hall 2, stand E22...

The right apprenticeship for the automotive engineering of tomorrow has been discussed in Wolfsburg

The CARLECTRA GmbH and the University of Applied Sciences of Braunschweig/Wolfenbüttel invited to the regional initiative evening of automotive electronics

WOLFSBURG: The Wolfsburg institutes connected with automotive engineering department of the University of Applied Sciences Braunschweig/Wolfenbüttel take the challenges of the future and form/educate young people as high potentials that offer a good perspective to the Braunschweig-Wolfsburg region. This is of what 72 experts from 33 enterprises in the field of automotive electronics did assure themselves of on the 11th March 2009. The CARLECTRA GmbH and the University of Applied Sciences invited to the event series - initiative evening automotive electronics - at the Robert-Koch-Platz and discussed future challenges regarding vehicle construction.

CARLECTRA on the CeBIT in 2009

From the 3rd to the 8th of March the CARLECTRA GmbH presents itself for the third time on the CeBIT in 2009.

The CARLECTRA GmbH is one of fifteen enterprises and organisations who took part in the arrangement of the communal stand ITS Niedersachsen.

Under the slogan "Intelligently transport systems and services" the land initiative telematics brings the key member of staff from the parts of traffic engineering, telematics, detection and mobility from Lower Saxony together. The CARLECTRA GmbH presents in this context the business competence platform to vehicle electronics. This offers to everybody the possibility to access the key accounts of the region Braunschweig simply, fast and accurate, regular after the core competence, subject and tools.
